Polycarbonate is a premium lens material that is the lightest and most impact resistant available right now. This lens provides excellent optical quality, thinner style lens, ultraviolet protection, scratch resistance, and can be tinted to just about any color.
As with all the services we provide, the quality of care you receive is our number one priority. Choosing the Right Glasses
For many of us, the most important aspect of choosing eyeglass frames is how they look on our face. You could try on every pair of eyeglasses in the store to find out how each one looks, but narrowing down your choices in advance can save you a lot of time and aggravation.
To do so, you simply need to determine your face shape and coloring, and understand which eyeglass frame styles and colors would look best on you.
Single vision lenses are used for correcting vision at one distance or range of vision. For example, they can correct vision for one of the following: far for driving, intermediate distances for seeing a computer screen or close vision for reading.
Progressive lenses are for Presbyopic patients who need vision correction for reading and distance vision and who wish to be able to see far, near and everywhere in between, without any of the distracting lines found in normal bifocals or trifocals.
Bifocal lenses contain two different prescriptions in the same lens. The primary purpose of bifocals is to provide the perfect balance between distance vision and near vision focusing needs.
Photochromatic lenses are lenses that adjust their color to light conditions; they darken outdoors and lighten indoors. Photochromatic lenses are available in gray, brown, and green tints and have scratch resistance and ultraviolet protection. Please view the link below for a demonstration.
Anti-reflective lens coatings, such as Crizal, are special clear lens coatings that are applied to lenses to reduce glare and enhance visual clarity.
These coatings have three main advantages:
- Improve vision for bright sunlight during the day and the glare at night from oncoming headlights in night time traffic.
- Reduce eye fatigue by eliminating ghost images; making your vision more comfortable.
- Enhance your appearance by minimizing reflections on the lens surface.
