Dr. Naveen Husain graduated with honors from the King Edward Medical College in 1991. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at the distinguished Cullen Eye Institute at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She completed her internship and residency training at Ben Taub General Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, the Veterans Administration Hospital and the Methodist Hospital in Houston at the Texas Medical Center. After finishing her ophthalmology residency at the Cullen Eye Institute, Dr. Husain joined the Associated Ophthalmologists, PC in 1997.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Husain is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive surgery, European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Des Moines Ophthalmology Society. She has authored a number of research articles and publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Husain is certified to perform laser vision correction, cataract surgery, and practices general ophthalmology seeing both adult and pediatric patients. She specializes in glaucoma management and treatment as well.
