Dr. Naveen Husain graduated with honors from King Edward Medical College in 1991. She was then accepted at the prestigious Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas for her ophthalmology training. She completed her internship and residency training at Ben Taub General Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital, St. Lukes Hospital, Veterans Administration Hospital and Methodist Hospital in Houston at the Texas Medical Center. After completing her Ophthalmology residency at the Cullen Eye Institute, she joined the Associated Ophthalmologists P.C. in 1997.
She is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Medical Association, Iowa Medical Society and Des Moines Ophthalmology Society. She has authored a number of research articles and publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.
She is certified to perform laser vision correction, cataract surgery, and practices general ophthalmology seeing both adult and pediatric patients. |
